The Grand Valley is a great place for seniors to spend their retirement. There are a multitude of outdoor activities, several community centers, and multiple healthcare options. Grand Junction has an abundance of assisted living facilities, but many retirees aren’t quite ready for that type of care and would prefer living in their own home. In the Grand Valley, we only have a small handful of 55+ communities. The homeowner’s associations are able to maintain the demographics of the neighborhood by putting an age restriction into the CCR’s.
The largest 55+ community in the Grand Valley is the Village at Country Creek in Fruita. The other option is the small community of Corona Del Rey which is also known as El Corona. There are also some mobile home parks that have age restrictions. Another option that is worth looking into is a patio homes community in which the HOA maintains the yard but they are open to all ages of residents. Also, view all ranch style homes with one-level living without stairs. If you have any questions on 55+ communities in the Grand Valley give us a call at 970-812-1122.
