Mack, Colorado lies 10 miles from the Colorado/Utah border and is best known for hosting the Country Jam music festival, which draws thousands of music fans for 4 days of country music. The unincorporated Mesa county town with the zip code 81525 was named after John W. Mack, a businessperson in the asphalt industry. It is largely an agricultural community since there is very limited services, however you will find one large mobile home park complete with a community swimming pool for those hot summer days. Currently there is no sewer, so all homes are on a septic system, but almost all are on Ute water. Kids living in Mack are bused to Loma for Elementary school and Fruita for middle and high school, which are great schools within School District 51. It is just a short drive to the Kokopelli and Rabbit Valley trail systems for hiking or mountain biking. Residents in Mack enjoy the wide open spaces, abundant views, and stunning sunsets.
