Mesa County located in western Colorado is the fourth largest county in the state. It is named after the many mesas in the area including the largest flat top mountain in the world, the Grand Mesa. As of 2010 the population was around 150,000 people. The cities that make up Mesa county include Grand Junction, Fruita, Clifton, Palisade, Collbran, De Beque, Loma, Gateway, Carpenter, Mack, Mesa, Molina, Plateau City and Whitewater.
