Mommy & Me Classes (Under 2 Years Old)
Kindermusik with Susan Rowland
The Foundations class is geared towards babies 6 months to 18 months and the level 2 class is for toddlers 18 months to 3 years old. Each Kindermusik class in Grand Junction creates a nurturing environment where the children will experience a variety of instruments, music styles, and sounds. Susan Rowland is an excellent teacher who engages the children in movement, rhythm, and vocal activities. The children will learn to interact with others, listen to commands, and have an enjoyable time learning new songs.
Classes are typically broken up into 3 semesters: Fall, Spring, & Summer. Each semester runs for several weeks and payment is required in advance for the semester. Class sizes average 10 children plus their accompanying guardian. For more information about the mommy & me music class visit https://www.kindermusik.com/studio/51789.
Colorado West Gymnastics
Gymnastics is a great way to run out some energy and learn how to properly jump, flip, and roll. The Mommy and Me class is geared for children 2-3 years old, although they will allow kids as young as 18 months. The class starts with a time of stretching and reviewing the rules. Then the toddlers will listen to instruction and try out several activities that the teachers setup for that day. The class requires quite a bit of listening and following directions so it is best for older toddlers. The tots will learn balance, coordination, and body awareness with the help of their mommy or guardian. Typically sessions run 4 weeks at a time and require payment during the first week of class.
